Vice Speaker Volski: Saakashvili has rigid demands, expecting everyone to yield and submit; he lacks leverage to act right now

“Saakashvili makes rigid demands and expects everyone to yield and submit. He remains completely unchanged; he just lacks the leverage to act right now,” stated the First Vice-Speaker of Parliament, Gia Volski.

Volski commented on yesterday’s statement by former President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili on the United National Movement.

“Nika Gvaramia was crying bitter tears, claiming that Mikheil Saakashvili was suffering from dementia and that his health was in jeopardy. A serious question arises as to how severe the infighting within the opposition truly is. This is particularly notable given that we are talking about people who share the same spirit, as well as a common past and present. It is possible that the appearance of Saakashvili’s photos at rallies startled those individuals. Many may not want to be associated with Saakashvili’s past, during which country territories were lost, thousands of lives were ruined, and people, including the youth, were killed in the streets.

Saakashvili has rigid demands; he expects everyone to yield and submit. While this might be a factor for others, these people share the same goals and objectives. They may simply be competing over who possesses a greater capacity for destruction. They aim to show their superiors who the real leader is here, and to draw a segment of the public into extremist processes. The only new things we have seen from Saakashvili are his haircut and Nanuka Zhorzholiani, who was already viewed as an integral part of the United National Movement anyway. Saakashvili is the same; he simply lacks the leverage to act right now,” Gia Volski stated.

For context, the former President of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, announced that he plans to introduce radical changes to the United National Movement.

“I have not only changed my hairstyle, but I am also planning radical changes within the United National Movement; we are bringing on board the brilliant Nanuka Zhorzholiani for these reforms,” Saakashvili wrote on social media.
