Vice-Speaker Tsilosani claims EU wants new members on ‘master-servant’ terms

“It is a fact that the EU is planning to admit new members on unfair terms. It appears they have no intention of accepting countries as equal members,” stated the Vice-Speaker of the Georgian Parliament, MP Nino Tsilosani.

According to Nino Tsilosani, this development clearly explains why the EU suspended the negotiations with Georgia.

“The fact is, the EU never intended to admit, or at least is now planning to admit, new members under unfair conditions. This likely explains why they found pretexts to target Georgia and halted our negotiation process. For Eurocrats, this serves as further motivation to keep Georgia in this exact position. It appears they do not even plan to accept new members as equals. Instead, they seem intent on admitting countries on a master-servant basis, imposing nothing but obligations while granting absolutely no rights. When facing such an approach, every question has already been clearly answered,” Tsilosani said.
