For Georgians, everything related to faith, identity, and tradition is sacred, Mamuka Mdinaradze, the Vice Prime Minister and State Minister for Coordination of Law Enforcement Agencies, told journalists.
According to Mdinaradze, it is no coincidence that today, at the initiative and with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Ilia II, the Day of the Purity of the Family was named.
“For a Georgian, everything that is related to faith, identity, and tradition is sacred. Therefore, it is no coincidence that today, at the initiative and with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Ilia II, was named the Day of the Purity of the Family, because this is a tradition, a kind of faith, and respecting it is a special issue related to identity.
The initiative of Patriarch Shio III today, to continue this and make it irreversible, also means that a Georgian will never lose any topic related to these issues, any faith, identity, tradition, will always respect their own culture and their own family, their parents, and this will be their main distinguishing feature, including their mark from all others. I wish everyone to have similar events with such an attitude all over the world, so that generations grow up on these high values,” said Mamuka Mdinaradze.
