Georgian capital’s one of the largest green zones, Vake Park, will be temporarily closed this week due to full-scale remodeling, Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze announced on Wednesday.
The planning process embodied ideas of the local population, Kaladze noted.
“It is crucial to renovate and rehabilitate recreational zones. Vake Park remodeling should complete by the end of the year,” the Mayor said.
Kaladze added that Vake Park would maintain its original appearance as it carries the status of cultural heritage.
