US Embassy welcomes Georgia’s participation in US-led naval exercise bringing together NATO allies and partners
“We are delighted that Georgia participated in Sea Breeze 2026, a US-led multinational naval exercise that brings together NATO allies and partners to enhance interoperability and maritime security,” the US Embassy in Georgia stated in a public announcement.
The embassy noted in a social media post that this year’s exercise focused on mine-countermeasure operations.
“Participants underwent training in mine detection and clearance, underwater operations and search-and-rescue, as well as explosive ordnance disposal and the use of uncrewed systems. Twelve service personnel from the Georgian Coast Guard and the Georgian Defence Forces took part in the exercise. Through joint training, allies and partners bolster regional security and help strengthen the safety and stability of the Black Sea region,” the US Embassy in Georgia wrote.
