US Chargé d’Affaires Pays Tribute to Georgian Heroes on Anniversary of Fall of Sokhumi

US Chargé d’Affaires in Georgia Courtney Austrian laid a wreath at the Heroes’ Memorial in Tbilisi to mark the anniversary of the fall of Sokhumi.

The US Embassy in Georgia shared the information on its Facebook page.

“Today marks 33 years since the tragic fall of Sokhumi. Together with our Georgian partners, we remember the sacrifice and courage of those who gave their lives defending Georgia, as well as those who were forced to leave their homes as a result of the war,” the Embassy said.
