US Embassy in Georgia does not function fully due to so called temporary budget
The US Embassy in Georgia does not function fully due to passage of a month-long funding bill by the US Congress.
As Embassy told to the First Channel the delay does not apply to the consular department, however at this stage the operational activities are not performed at the Embassy.
According to Embassy, the web-page will be not be regularly updated until full U.S. Government operations resume, with the exception of emergency safety and security information.
“U.S. Embassy consular services will continue to function during the lapse in Congressional appropriations. If you have a scheduled visa interview or American Citizen Services appointment, please arrive at the Embassy at your designated time”, – the statement released by the Embassy reads.
