US Embassy in Georgia congratulated the Georgian people on Dedaena (Mother Language) Day celebrated in Georgia on April 14.
“Looking at the manuscript of The Knight in Panther’s Skin preserved in the United Nations, it is clear that for the Georgian people, the language is a “divine treasure.” 45 years ago, you showed not only the Soviet regime but the whole world, that the pride with which you carry the love for the Georgian language cannot ever be taken away from you.
Happy National Language Day!,” reads the US Embassy statement.
