US Department of State not to announce on imposition of sanctions in advance

The US Department of State does not announce about imposition of sanctions against individual persons or companies, the US Department told Voice of America. However, it warned business not to help Russia in evasion of its imposed sanctions.

Former US Ambassador to Russia and the coordinator of the Russia Sanctions Group, Michael McFaul, told PalitraNews TV that the group had not yet discussed sanctioning people from other countries.

“But now we are starting to discuss this very issue, and we are considering people from Georgia and Belarus – I think there will undoubtedly be individuals in your country who support Putin’s war,” Michael McFaul said.
