US Ambassador: Georgia has no better friend than America

Everyone is entitled to have an opinion, but there is a difference between opinion and fact. The fact is, Georgia has no better friend than America, the US Ambassador to Georgia, Kelly Degnan, told journalists.

Asked about criticism of facilitator ambassadors by some political leaders, Kelly Degnan responded. The United States Embassy has worked very hard for 30 years to help Georgia improve its healthcare, education, security, diversify its economy, and create jobs for Georgians.

“ I can’t think of better proof of how much we care at the United States and the United States Embassy about Georgia’s success. And that’s true, whether I’m the Ambassador or anybody else is the Ambassador. It’s true whatever party is in power here and whatever party is in power in the White House. Nothing is going to change. Our commitment to Georgia’s success is not going to change,” Kelly Degnan declared.
