UNM's Vashadze: Tomorrow's vote is referendum for change, UNM guarantees victory

“We will swiftly lead the country toward the EU, attract 14 billion, implement many reforms, but it’s crucial that we win tomorrow’s vital referendum,” stated Giorgi Vashadze, one of the leaders of Unity – National Movement, during a briefing.

According to Vashadze, Georgian Dream’s primary strategy hinges on garnering as many votes as possible for candidates who fall below the 5% threshold.

“Tomorrow is a referendum where we make a crucial choice. Essentially, the next decades of our country will be determined. I want to tell you that the only, small, minimal thing that the Georgian Dream is clinging to is the hope that many votes will remain below the 5% threshold. I want to ask all fellow citizens – now is not the time for risks. Please choose political forces that can definitely clear the 5% threshold. We, Unity – National Movement, number 5, are the most reliable guarantee that we will defeat the Georgian Dream and change the government, so I ask for your support. Don’t waste your vote; this is crucial. In 2016, 21% of votes were lost below the 5% threshold, and in the 2020 elections, approximately 20-23% were lost below the threshold. Now is not the time for risks, therefore marking number 5 is the guaranteed path to finally defeat the Georgian Dream and achieve final victory for the Georgian people.

We will very quickly lead the country toward the EU, attract 14 billion, and implement many reforms, but it’s important that we win tomorrow’s crucial referendum. Once again, I ask you not to waste your vote, support us as the most reliable and guaranteed political force that will unconditionally defeat Ivanishvili and remove the Georgian Dream, and we will move forward toward the EU – this is what’s most important in tomorrow’s referendum, and number 5 is the guarantee of this,” Vashadze declared.
