UNM's Tsitlidze: UNM welcomes resumption of discussions on democratic unification
“We are pleased that the dialogue surrounding the unification of democratic forces has resumed. The United National Movement has always championed unity; our primary goal has been to bring together all political entities fighting against the regime,” said Ani Tsitlidze, a member of the United National Movement party.
According to her, the United National Movement must remain open to dialogue.
“It is very encouraging. From Khazaradze’s statement yesterday, it appeared that the main focus is on local self-government elections. Additionally, the topic of unity has re-emerged. I will await further clarification on what this unity entails. Our position regarding the elections is clear, firm, and unwavering: these are not genuine elections. No one should participate in the Russian special operation against Georgian citizens. The discussion on this matter should be concluded swiftly, advocating for a boycott,” Tsitlidze stated.
