UNM's Partskhaladze: GD firmly backed Partskhaladze, later admitted he was murderer
“This is another disaster for the Georgian Dream,” said Lasha Parulava, a member of the United National Movement, commenting on the accusations against former Prosecutor General of Georgia Otar Partskhaladze in the murder case of businessman Levan Jangveladze.
According to Parulava, Partskhaladze had long been a key figure closely associated with Bidzina Ivanishvili, the founder of Georgian Dream.
“For years, Otar Partskhaladze was one of Bidzina Ivanishvili’s main pillars and an influential figure. When the United States imposed sanctions on him, Natia Turnava and the National Bank protected him. Georgian Dream firmly defended Partskhaladze, and in the end, we were told that Partskhaladze was a murderer,” Parulava said.
Parulava argued that the case exposes the nature of the ruling party’s politics.
“This clearly reveals the policy of Georgian Dream — that murderers and corrupt individuals are in their circle, and their political team has reached rock bottom,” he added.
Earlier, the Ministry of Internal Affairs named former Prosecutor General of Georgia Otar Partskhaladze as the organizer of the murder of businessman Levan Jangveladze.
