UNM’s Khabeishvili: Peaceful overthrow means what happened in Georgia in 2003 and Armenia under Pashinyan

“Peaceful overthrow implies what happened in Georgia in 2003 and what happened in our neighborhood, Armenia, and Pashinyan did it. We can do it and we will do it,” said Levan Khabeishvili, the chairman of the political council of the United National Movement (UNM).

He also remarked on the arrest of UNM political council member Lasha Tsanava, who is facing fraud charges. According to Khabeishvili, Tsanava is being targeted with an accusation of attempted fraud, which, he argued, would typically not fall under the jurisdiction of the State Security Service.

“Tsanava is a family man who worked honorably in security and as a driver – he supported me without any personal gain. He even worked in Parliament to help protect me from physical attacks by ‘titushkies’. Over four years, he earned enough to donate 50,000 GEL twice to the party,” Khabeishvili noted.

Khabeishvili called on the public to mobilize on October 4, describing it as “the date of the victory of the Georgian people.”

“I urge every citizen: on October 4, no one must stay home. The more of us there are, the easier and more peacefully we will defeat and remove this government,” he declared.
