Levan Khabeishvili, chairman of the political council of the United National Movement, has called on citizens to demonstrate unity on October 4, claiming that only collective action can counter what he described as Bidzina Ivanishvili’s strategy of “divide and conquer.”

In a statement published on social media, Khabeishvili argued that Georgia’s salvation depends not on “a thousand-point plans” but on a single principle — “Georgia first and foremost.”

“Ivanishvili’s tactics are simple: divide, crush, dominate. He fuels envy and distrust, so that people turn against one another, while he robs the country and enriches himself,” Khabeishvili wrote.

According to him, opposition parties often fall into the same cycle of disunity, distracted by egos, personal ambitions, and endless discussions. “Time is wasted in constant ‘blah-blah-blah,’ instead of focusing on the real solution — uniting the people,” he noted.

Khabeishvili stressed that this is not a struggle between parties but a fight for the survival of Georgia.

“Forget the so-called political elite – the people themselves must unite! This is not a party struggle, this is a fight for Georgia’s survival. We need unconditional unity of the people – not basement-made two-man parties, but true national solidarity around the single goal: Georgia first and foremost.”

Khabeishvili calls on citizens to unite against Ivanishvili’s regime, hold free elections, and then let politicians prove their worth before the people.

“Let’s make October 4 a victory day – it’s in our hands! Let’s gather on Rustaveli and show unprecedented unity that will bring about a peaceful autumn revolution,”  Khabeishvili concludes.
