UNM’s Khabeishvili: For us, our national flag is sacred; We want to construct the biggest airport in Sokhumi
“A genuine and patriotic party is the National Movement,” reads the address to the UNM’s 13th Congress by the Chairman of UNM Political Council, jailed Levan Khabeishvili.
According to Khabeishvili, everyone should demonstrate patience and common sense not to harm the integrity of the party.
“A genuine and patriotic party is the National Movement! We have chosen the path of Aghmashenebeli, Tamar, Ilia Chavchavadze, Ambrosi Khelaia, Jesus. Against us is evil, hatred. Ivanishvili follows the path of robber Baraba, traitor Judas! They destroyed, exploded Sakdrisi; we built Bagrati. They destroy Gelati, while we reconstructed hundreds of monuments of cultural heritage. We constructed Rike Park with globally renowned Jugs. They are destroying. We inscribed ‘Strength in Unity’ on our coat of arms, yet they are destroying everything around which we could unite! For us, Antsukhelidze is a hero, but to them, he is a nobody; they insult his soul and his grave!
For us, our national flag is sacred; they fight with it. We erected the St. George Monument on Freedom Square; they destroy Cross Monastery. We want to construct the biggest airport in Europe Sokhumi, while they are killing the European perspective, the idea of Georgia’s unity!
We want our migrants to return to their homes and families; they deprive them of voting rights. We want daylight, they want darkness. I salute your effort, fight, determination and bow before each of you. I am grateful that I am called your servant. Do not retreat, fear anything and prepare for a decisive fight!
My greetings to Mikheil Saakashvili, Irakli Nadiradze and our members, who are imprisoned. Accept my affection and respect. In the end, I would like to ask you to care about our big family, the UNM. Let everyone refrain from publicly offending our family. Let everyone show restraint and good judgment, and let us not cause harm to our team! To hell with all positions and titles; what matters is serving the people! God bless Georgia! Glory to the heroes!” Khabeishvili wrote.
