UNM's Chair links gov't changes to 'Ivanishvili's political tangles'
The Chair of the United National Movement (UNM) party, Levan Khabeishvili says the recent governmental changes “are not related to the well-being of our citizens, but rather to Bidzina Ivanishvili’s political tangles.”
“We must understand that the current government does not serve the people; they are driven to enrich Bidzina Ivanishvili, themselves, and others by building new mansions and villas rather than serving the people,” Khabeishvili added.
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili has resigned from his post earlier today. He also said he had accepted an offer to become Chair of the Georgian Dream.
Within two weeks, the Georgian Parliament will hold a confidence vote in the new Prime Minister and Government.
