UNM's Baramidze: We stand in solidarity with Nika Gvaramia and wish him resilience

“We stand in full solidarity with Nika Gvaramia and wish him resilience,” Giorgi Baramidze, the political secretary of the Unity-National Movement, stated, as reported by the press service of the Unity–National Movement.

Baramidze emphasized that he supports not only Gvaramia but also all individuals who face political persecution and oppression.

“We reaffirm our complete solidarity with Nika Gvaramia and wish him resilience. We are aware that this regime may take further unjust steps against one of its most significant political opponents. Therefore, we stand firmly with Nika Gvaramia, just as we stand with all those unjustly persecuted and oppressed,” Baramidze declared.

Tbilisi City Court replaced the preventive measure against Nika Gvaramia, leader of the Coalition for Change, with imprisonment. Gvaramia was assigned a GEL 30,000 bail after failing to appear before the temporary investigative commission, which is studying the activities of the 2003-2012 government and its officials. Gvaramia has stated that he will not pay the bail, and the deadline for payment expired on June 7.
