On October 19, the United National Movement (UNM) members will meet at the First Republic Square and travel to Chorvila village to “remind Bidzina Ivanishvili (former GD Chair) that he will not avoid responsibility,” said Sopo Japaridze, a UNM member and a representative of jailed ex-president Mikheil Saakashvili, at the briefing.
Japaridze believes the main problem is Bidzina Ivanishvili, “an informal governor who distances Georgia from democracy and openly obstructs the European integration process.”
“Bidzina Ivanishvili decided to replace Georgians with Russians; we see how many Georgian citizens emigrate daily. We have no time for dispute, counteraccusations, or political flirting. I call on everyone to stand together and start our country’s de-oligarchization, I mean de-Bidzinization,” she said.
