Members of the opposition United National Movement (UNM) party rallied at former Georgian Dream Chairman Bidzina Ivanishvili’s residence in Shekvetili, Guria.
By waving posters and giving horns, the protesters demanded jailed ex-president Mikheil Saakashvili’s release.
UNM Chair Levan Khabeishvili warned to hold more and larger protests in different cities throughout Georgia, including capital Tbilisi.
“High-ranking officials and Bidzina Ivanishvili should know that they will never have rest,” he said and added that the Georgian people would bring judgment against the current regime.
Levan Khabeishvili called on supporters for mobilization. Georgian and Ukrainian national anthems were played at the end of the rally.
