UNM Pavlenishvili: No one doubts anymore that Saakashvili’s nine years were years of development

“In one week, on October 1, it will be five years since Mikheil Saakashvili, the creator of independent Georgian state institutions and the author of epochal changes in Georgia, was imprisoned on Putin’s instructions and detained by Ivanishvili’s puppet regime,” Irakli Pavlenishvili, Chair of the United National Movement’s interim governing council, said.

Pavlenishvili called on everyone who recognizes what he described as Saakashvili’s significance to gather at 7 p.m. near the so-called Rike Tubes.

“Today, both outside the country and, of course, first and foremost inside Georgia, no one has any doubts that those nine years were years of development, rather than what the Georgian Dream propaganda portrayed them as for years. Now, there have been 14 years of destruction.

Therefore, I call on everyone who understands how important those nine years were — the building of institutions, the development of tourism, Georgia’s European integration, and, most importantly, restoring every Georgian family’s belief in a strong Georgian state — everyone who understands the significance of Mikheil Saakashvili, to gather at 7 p.m. at the building near the so-called Rike Tubes, which has been neglected and devastated just as our country has been.

They have abolished our partnership relations with the United States and the strategic partnership agreement, European integration has been halted, the birth rate is at a historic low, migration is at a historic high, children are being poisoned, schools are collapsing, and in order to stop all of this, it is necessary to release political prisoners,” Irakli Pavlenishvili said.
