UNM members rally at Adjara government building

Representatives of the opposition United National Movement (UNM) party held a protest rally over the death of UNM member Nugzar Putkaradze at the Adjara government building. Protesters demanded the resignation of Adjara government Chairman Tornike Rizhvadze.

“This system kills people. Of course, there was pressure,” Nazi Putkaradze, sister of the deceased UNM member, said.

The protest was linked to the audio recording of two persons who allegedly forced Nugzar Putkaradze to join the Georgian Dream Party at the order of the Adjara government Chair’s father. The GD party denied allegations.
