UNM Kutaisi mayoral candidate: We all felt irreversibility of regime’s destruction
It is an unusual day in Georgia because we all felt the irreversibility of the regime’s destruction very well, said Khatia Dekanoidze, Kutaisi mayoral candidate of the United National Movement (UNM).
During the briefing, Khatia Dekanoidze thanked the voters for support and demonstrated civic dignity.
“Our citizens demonstrated real civic dignity. They came, voted for us and, most importantly, showed the regime that yes, the regime can be defeated. I am proud to have participated in this historic process with my friends,” Dekanoidze claimed.
According to the preliminary data of the Central Election Commission (CEC) for Kutaisi mayoral candidates counted from 59 out of 124 polling stations, the United National Movement (UNM) candidate Khatia Dekanoidze leads with 43, 88% of voters. The ruling Georgian Dream (GD) candidate Ioseb Khakhaleishvili comes second with 41, 42% of votes.
The local elections were held on October 2 in Georgia.
