UNM Chair says Sokhumi to be most developed city in Europe

“Sokhumi will be the most developed city in Europe, and we will all contribute to its building,” said Levan Khabeishvili, the opposition United National Movement (UNM) Chair, remarking on the idea of jailed ex-president Mikheil Saakashvili on the establishment of Lazika city.

“Lazika will be the second largest city in Georgia after the capital. Lazika will be a city with an economy of 30 billion. Lazika will be a city where tens of thousands of jobs were created, and Lazika will be a city that will ensure that no family in Samegrelo was left without a high-paid job so that our people will live with dignity,” he said.

Levan Khabeishvili pledged to do his best for Mikheil Saakashvili’s being the “head architect” of the largest airport of Sokhumi (the administrative capital of the occupied Abkhazia region).
