UNM Chair says Mikheil Saakashvili to lead Victory Coalition to defeat poverty in Georgia
“The leader of the United National Movement (UNM) – Victory Coalition will be Mikheil Saakashvili (jailed ex-president), and together with our people and with the direct involvement of Saakashvili, we will decisively defeat poverty and Bidzina Ivanishvili (Georgian Dream founder),” said Levan Khabeishvili, UNM Chair, in Ozurgeti, Guria.
According to Levan Khabeishvili, upon winning in the 2024 elections, the United National Movement (UNM)-Victory Coalition will construct the largest airport in west Georgia, in Ozurgeti.
“Upon winning in the 2024 elections, the United National Movement (UNM)-Victory Coalition will construct the largest airport in west Georgia in Ozurgeti, Guria region, which will be a hub and provide high-income tens of thousands job places,” said Levan Khabeishvili, UNM Chair in Ozurgeti, Guria.
Khabeishvili said Georgian citizens would not need to flee abroad to support their families.
“The 30 per cent of the Guria region, approximately 25 thousand people left the country in the last five years, the 50% of Ozurgeti locals have no potable water, 53% is socially vulnerable, 70% of the population has no sewage systems,” he said.
According to the UNM Chair, Bidzina Ivanishvili (founder and Honorable Chairman of the Georgian Dream party) deprives Georgia of possibilities to develop and people – to have a decent income.
He went on to say that approximately 5 thousand big companies left the Russian market due to the internationally imposed sanctions, and none was offered to enter Georgia.
“This is a missed opportunity. It’s an opportunity stolen by Bidzina Ivanishvili. It means that Ivanishvili is stealing from our population the chance to have a decent income and decent jobs,” Khabeishvili said.
