UNM Chair pledges to breakdown current regime peacefully

Nika Melia, Chairman of the United National Movement (UNM) party, said the footage released by the Special Penitentiary Service confirms that the ex-president was transferred to the Gldani prison involuntary.

According to Melia, Mikheil Saakashvili was deprived of the right even to an “unfair court,” demonstrating nothing but personal vengeance.

UNM Chair said the only plan now is not to stop and continue the peaceful protest. “There is only one plan. No relief. This government and this regime will collapse peacefully step by step,” Melia claimed.

Nika Melia vowed the government should have no illusion that the protest wave would cease, promising peaceful protests at different locations daily.
