UNM Chair: Melikishvili to be protest’s main focus and march point towards Rustaveli on October 4
“Melikishvili Avenue should serve as the central focus of the protest, becoming a symbol of the movement. On October 4, we should march from Melikishvili to Rustaveli Avenue,” declared Tina Bokuchava, Chairperson of the United National Movement, during the demonstration held on Melikishvili Avenue near the Georgian Dream’s election headquarters.
According to her, Kakha Kaladze employs ‘titushki’ to retaliate against political opponents.
“Since 2016, Kakha Kaladze has been using ‘titushki’ to intimidate and retaliate against political opponents. You might recall the so-called incident in Kortskheli where ‘athletes’ assaulted and brutalised people. Since then, he has consistently demonstrated such violence.
Yesterday, we witnessed how Kaladze’s ‘titushki’ shamefully confronted women, throwing hard objects at them. This is their true face. The oppressed, victimised, and degraded police cannot protect not only Georgian citizens but also themselves from the ‘Russo-GD titushki’,” Bokuchava told Interpressnews.
