UNM Chair emphasizes importance of Saakashvili's active involvement in Georgian politics

Levan Khabeishvili, the United National Movement (UNM) Chair, highlighted the significance of Mikheil Saakashvili’s decision to engage in Georgian politics actively.

“The most significant thing is that his health allows him to serve the Georgian people and help defeat the regime,” Khabeishvili said during a briefing on Friday.

According to him, ex-President Saakashvili has a lot of experience in the fight against the Putinist regimes.

“Back in 2003, Saakashvili completely cut off Georgia from the Russian orbit, and we headed towards Europe, the West. After that, Yanukovych and Poroshenko were defeated in Ukraine. I am sure that President Saakashvili will make a big contribution in the fight against Bidzina Ivanishvili and in defeating the Russian oligarchic regime,” Khabeishvili said.

Jailed ex-President Mikheil Saakashvili today announced his plans to actively engage in Georgian politics.
