“The central office of the United National Movement (UNM) was attempted to attack by spears. There were approximately 100 masked people,” said UNM Chair Levan Khabeishvili at the briefing.

According to Khabeishvili, other political or civic groups, citizens and activists would be the next targets.
The UNM Chair appealed to non-government organizations and ambassadors to express their stance over the recent attacks and violence.

“We should acknowledge that they will not stop and the next targets will be other political or civic groups, citizens and activists and they intend to speak with spears. Therefore, we should together ensure to get rid of this frightened government. Otherwise, they will not work for the welfare of the people. Aside from all good, they are cowards and used to escape at every minimal resistance.

We should understand that a hard period is ahead, but I am sure we will win convincingly. The strong government, which has something to say to its people does not speak to them with spears,” he said.
