University of Georgia says any political process should remain beyond academic space
“We believe that any political process should remain beyond academic space and should not reflect the university’s functioning and learning,” said University of Georgia in its statement.
The University said it was unacceptable that some academic personnel refused to fulfill their duties.
“It is the responsibility of each university, its professors and teachers, to ensure the continuous conduct of the educational process for students and the creation of a politics-free, healthy and academic educational environment in the university spaces. If our intention is a better Georgia, the only and best way to achieve it is to get a quality education,” reads the statement.
