Davit Kirtadze, a member of the Unity-National Movement coalition sprayed paint at Giorgi Kalandarishvili, Chairman of the Georgian Election Commission (CEC) during the sitting where CEC is set to approve the summarizing report of the October 26 parliamentary elections results.
A verbal clash preceded the incident. The CEC Chair switched off a microfone to Kirtadze. The sitting was interrupted for several minutes.
Opposition representatives and civic activists are protesting outside the CEC building parallel to the sitting. They claim the elections were mass rigged.
