The United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute (UNICRI) published research about illicit financial flows.
According to the Georgian General Prosecutor’s Office, Georgia carried out impressive reforms against corruption, organized crime and illicit financial flows.
However, based on the research, Georgia faces challenges concerning thefts, swindling, cybercrime, drugs, property and financial crimes.
“Georgia shows readiness for international coordination. The country has a solid legal and procedural framework for the thorough, proactive and timely exchange of information with foreign partners.” the report said.
The UNICRI research also provides recommendations for future work of the General Prosecutor’s Office.
