UNESCO, FMs congratulate Georgian FM on his appointment

UNESCO Director-General congratulated Ilia Darchiashvili on his appointment as Georgian Minister of Foreign Affairs.

UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azule expressed her gratitude for the constructive role that Georgia is playing in cooperation with UNESCO.

“Georgia actively supports the Organization’s efforts to promote education, culture, science, and freedom of expression,” UNESCO Director-General wrote in a congratulatory letter.

The MFA reported Thursday that the Foreign Ministers of Argentina, Saudi Arabia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Iran also saluted Ilia Darchiashvili upon his appointment.
