UN Secretary-General's High Representative makes entry in condolence book

UN Secretary-General’s High Representative Miguel Ángel Moratinos submitted an entry in the condolence book opened at the UN Permanent Representation on March 19 on behalf of the United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres.

Miguel Ángel Moratinos emphasized the distinguished role and many years of service of the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia and expressed his sincere condolences to the Georgian nation.

Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II passed away on March 17 at the age of 93.

Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II, will be laid to rest on Sunday, March 22, in the Sioni Cathedral.
