Ukrainian sector for pupils from Ukraine to be opened in Tbilisi

The Ukrainian language sector will be opened in Tbilisi, where students affected by the ongoing hostilities in Ukraine will be enrolled. The Georgian Ministry of Education reports.

Georgian Minister of Education Mikheil Chkhenkeli has hosted Andrei Kasyanov, the Charge d’affaires of Ukraine in Georgia.

As Minister noted at the meeting, the initiative will enable Ukrainian students to receive education in their mother tongue.

According to Minister, the doors of Georgian public and private schools have already been opened for Ukrainian students, and their enrollment is underway. According to the current data, 190 Ukrainian children were enrolled at schools in Tbilisi and the regions of Georgia.
