The British Ambassador to Georgia, Gareth Ward, has left the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.
The ambassador did not make any comments to the media after departing the Ministry.
He was summoned to the Ministry for an explanation regarding recent developments. The matter concerns the British government’s sanctions against the television companies Imedi and PosTV.
Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili stated that they will seek an explanation from the ambassador regarding the sanctions imposed on Georgian television stations, emphasising that such measures must be grounded in solid legal justification.
