U.S. Embassy: We are marking the 32nd anniversary of a special military friendship

On October 3, 1994, the partnership between the U.S. State of Georgia National Guard and the Georgian Defense Forces was established, the U.S. Embassy in Georgia wrote on its Facebook page.
According to the Embassy, over this period, strong bonds have been established between American and Georgian military personnel through joint exercises, cooperation on defense matters, and serving side-by-side in various parts of the world.
“Today, we are marking the 32nd anniversary of a special military friendship. On October 3, 1994, the partnership between the U.S. State of Georgia National Guard and the Georgian Defense Forces was established.

Today, we pay tribute to thousands of Georgian and American military servicemen, whose dedication has forged one of the strongest and most enduring bonds in the world within the framework of the partnership between our nations,” the U.S. Embassy said.
