U.S. Embassy: Georgia's future, in many ways, depends on its judges

U.S. Ambassador to Georgia, Kelly Degnan, on Thursday, visited the Constitutional Court of Georgia, noting the importance of this court on the path of the country’s democratization, and expressed hope that the decisions made by the court “will always be dictated by the best interests of Georgia.”

“The United States remains committed to cooperate with Georgia for this purpose,” reads the Embassy’s statement.

“Georgia’s future, in many ways, depends on its judges. This is an honorable, significant responsibility. During her tenure in Georgia, Ambassador Degnan visited many courthouses and met with numerous judges to discuss their work and challenges,” the Embassy stated.
