Two Tbilisi schools to begin academic year in hybrid format due to Rustaveli Avenue rehabilitation

Tbilisi Public School No. 47 and the Tbilisi Classical Gymnasium will begin the new academic year in a hybrid format on September 15 due to the ongoing rehabilitation works on Rustaveli Avenue, the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth said.

According to the ministry, the educational process at both schools will return to its regular format as soon as the rehabilitation of Rustaveli Avenue is completed.

At Tbilisi Public School No. 47, classes will begin:

• 9:00 a.m. for students in grades I-VI;
• 12:00 p.m. for students in grades VII-X;
• Remotely for students in grades XI-XII.

At the Tbilisi Classical Gymnasium, classes will begin:

• 10:00 a.m. for students in grades V-IX;
• 2:00 p.m. for students in grades I-IV;
• Remotely for students in grades X-XII.

The schedules at both schools have been arranged to prevent student flows from overlapping and to ensure that the educational process runs in an organized manner.

“The educational process at both schools will return to its regular format as soon as the rehabilitation of Rustaveli Avenue is completed. We apologize to the school communities for this temporary inconvenience and thank them for their patience,” the Ministry of Education said.
