Two injured in Iranian drone explosion in Azerbaijan, Baku demands explanation from Tehran

Two individuals were injured due to a drone explosion in the Azerbaijani city of Nakhchivan, which was launched from Iran.

According to Azerbaijani media reports, another drone was seen flying over the village of Shekarabad.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan stated that Baku demands that Iran clarify the incident as soon as possible, provide an explanation and take the necessary and urgent measures to prevent similar cases from occurring in the future.

The statement also notes that the Azerbaijani side reserves the right to take appropriate retaliatory measures.

In addition, Mojtaba Dermichilu, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Azerbaijan, was summoned to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
