Two foreign nationals wanted by interpol arrested in Batumi

Officers of the Adjara Main Division of the Central Criminal Police Department of Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs have arrested two foreign nationals who were wanted under Interpol Red Notices, the ministry said.

According to the Interior Ministry, the suspects were internationally wanted at the request of the law enforcement authorities of the Republic of Türkiye.

The ministry said the fugitives were arrested in Batumi at different times following investigative operations carried out by law enforcement officers.

Extradition procedures, as provided for by law, are currently underway, the Interior Ministry added.
