Two foreign nationals wanted by Interpol arrested in Adjara

Employees of the Patrol Police Department of Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs have arrested two foreign nationals in Adjara who were wanted under Interpol Red Notices, the ministry said.

“Based on a request from German law enforcement authorities, the detainees were wanted on charges of various serious crimes, including kidnapping for the purpose of extortion, rape and bodily harm.

“The detainees crossed Georgia’s border before they were placed on the wanted list. Extradition procedures prescribed by law are currently underway,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.
