Twenty 18-metre buses to operate on route N306 from November 1
“From November 1, there will be changes to public transport; new 18-metre buses will commence operation on route N306,” announced Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze at today’s municipal government session.
Kaladze explained that the route N306, which previously covered only the section from Akaki Beliashvili Street to Nikoloz Baratashvili Street, will be extended.
“Previously, eight 12-metre buses served this route. Now, twenty 18-metre buses will operate, significantly increasing capacity and enabling us to serve many more passengers, as well as reducing intervals.
Under the new scheme, the route will now continue from Nikoloz Baratashvili Street to Ketevan Dedopali Avenue, then connect to Beri Gabriel Salosi Avenue and Emir Burjanadze Street. Furthermore, the route will extend from Akaki Beliashvili Street to Didi Digomi, passing through Parnavaz Mepe Avenue and Demetre Tavdadebuli Street,” Kaladze explained.
Tbilisi Mayor emphasised that these changes are vital for residents living along Beri Gabriel Salosi Avenue and Emir Burjanadze Street, who have faced transportation difficulties towards Avlabari for many years.
In addition, Mayor Kaladze announced the completion of a new transport hub at the intersection of Beliashvili Street and Robakidze Avenue. Starting from November 1, buses on route N306 will turn left at this hub, proceeding towards Didube Metro Station with traffic lights adjusted to facilitate the route.
