TSU holds Rector elections

The Rector elections are underway at The Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) after then Rector Giorgi Sharvashidze submitted his resignation to the University’s Academic Council on 7 October.

Jaba Samushia, the Acting Rector, is the sole contender in the election. The Council elected him as its Acting Rector on 20 October.

The Academic Council will elect new Rector with the majority of the votes.
