Ukraine and Georgia plan to launch travel between the two countries with ID cards from September, – Ukrainian news agency UNIAN released the regarding information.
The sides are going to sign a relevant agreement during the visit of delegations of the two countries in New York at the UN General Assembly session.
Ambassador of Ukraine to Georgia Ihor Dolhov told journalists in Kiev that the Ukrainian side has already approved and handed the documents on mutual trips of citizens with biometric internal passports (ID cards) to Georgian colleagues.
“We received confirmation that the text of the agreement on the trips of citizens was agreed by the relevant agencies of the Ukrainian side,” the ambassador said.
