Transport movement to be limited from Varaziskhevi Ascend to Ateni Street
The transport movement will be limited from Varaziskhevi Ascend to Ateni Street starting this evening due to the launch of rehabilitation works at Chavchavadze Avenue in Vake district of Tbilisi – Kakha Kaladze, Tbilisi Mayor said during the city governmental sitting.
Kaladze said that rehabilitation of Chavchavadze Avenue is a large-scale project. The rehabilitation will envisage replacement of drainage systems, the arrangement of bus lines, pavements and lightings. According to Kaladze the rehabilitation works will cost about 15 million GEL.
Transport movement routes will be temporarily changed during the rehabilitation of Chavchavadze Avenue in Tbilisi.
According to Tbilisi City Hall, the avenue will be divided into three sections to avoid transport collapse. The section from Varaziskhevi Ascend to Ateni Street will be blocked on both sides.
The one-sided movement will be introduced at Kekelidze, Petriashvili, Paliashvili, Arakishvili, Barnovi, Mirtskhulava and possibly several other streets.
