Traffic to be restricted due to Alilo procession 

Tomorrow at noon, Christmas procession Alilo will begin at First Republic Square, restricting traffic in several streets.

Tbilisi City Hall said the traffic would resume after the procession is over.

According to the Julian calendar, orthodox Christians celebrate Christmas on 7 January.

Traditionally the procession participants march through Tbilisi’s central streets, singing carols and collecting donations for orphanages.
