Traffic resumes on Stepantsminda-Larsi road section

Vehicle movement has resumed on the Stepantsminda–Larsi section of the international Mtskheta–Stepantsminda–Larsi highway, according to the Roads Department of Georgia’s Ministry of Infrastructure.

“Traffic is now open between km 124 and km 139 (Stepantsminda–Larsi). At km 135, near the Devdoraki–Amali Gorge, vehicles are allowed to pass through in a non-stop transit mode,” the statement reads.

The road had been temporarily closed yesterday due to the activation of a safety monitoring system triggered by heavy rainfall.
