Traffic restrictions imposed on roads in several regions of Georgia
Traffic restrictions are imposed on roads in several regions of Georgia due to unfavorable meteorological conditions. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia published this information.
“The Patrol Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs informs that certain restrictions have been imposed on roads in some regions due to heavy snowfall and avalanche threat.
Traffic movement is complicated at the 45-km 65-km sections of Tbilisi-Senaki-Leselidze highway (near the village of Igoeti) due to the unfavorable meteorological conditions. The patrol police crews are regulating traffic. The movement on these sections is recommended at a low speed by winter tires”, – stated the MIA.
Moreover, the movement for all types of vehicles is prohibited in Gudauri (Post Office) – Kobi section and Vaziani-Gombori-Telavi highway; on the bypass road, the movement is banned for trucks.
