Traffic restricted on some roads across Georgia

A special regime of traffic movement is imposed on roads across Georgia due to intensive snow and bad weather conditions, the Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure reports. Roads are cleaned regularly and technical salt is distributed.

The traffic movement is prohibited for all kinds of vehicles at the Gudauri-Kobi road section of Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Larsi highway and at Sachkhere-Oni road.

Movement of trucks is banned at some sections of Khashuri-Akhaltsikhe-Vale road, Akhaltsikhe-Ninotsminda highway, Gomi-Sachkhere-Chiatura-Zestaponi, Kutaisi-Tkibuli-Ambrolauri, Koda-Patrskhisi-Manglisi-Tsalka-Ninotsminda and Zugdidi-Jvari-Mestia-Lasdili roads due to low temperature and intensive snowfall.

Movement at Mestia-Ushguli roads is allowed only for 4WD vehicles or by use of anti-sliding chains.
